Today EUA is launching the publication of the report entitled ‘Collaborative Doctoral Education in Europe: Promoting Collaborative Doctoral Education for Enhanced Career Opportunities – DOC-CAREERS II.
The report provides a comprehensive analysis of the contexts and conditions to successfully establish and take forward collaborative doctoral education. It also explores the employment prospects in the non-academic sector for doctoral holders, namely through the business sector perspective. The presentation of the report and the following discussion will focus on the value of doctorate holders for the development of European societies and on the current and future role of doctoral education in the academic and non-academic sectors.
